At Reflexblue, we’re a big fan of working on projects that combine great design with real-world impact. We partnered with the teams at Kitback and Street Soccer to design and build a brand-new e-commerce website that helps support an important cause.
Kitback is a social enterprise created by Street Soccer that gives football shirts a second life. By collecting, upcycling and reselling donated football kits, Kitback raises funds that help support Street Soccer’s work with people facing a range of life challenges and barriers.
Our role was to design and develop a modern, easy-to-use online store that makes it simple for supporters to browse, buy and contribute to the mission.
Kitback is a unique initiative built around two powerful ideas: sustainability and community impact.
A tonne of football shirts have kindly been donated so far, many of which would otherwise sit unused or end up in landfill. Through Kitback, these shirts are collected, restored and resold to football fans who want to support a good cause while also finding a unique piece of football culture.
Every purchase made through the Kitback store helps fund the work of Street Soccer, a charity that uses football as a tool to support people experiencing challenges such as homelessness, social isolation and other barriers.
The Kitback team needed an e-commerce platform that could support their growing initiative and make it easy for supporters to browse and purchase shirts online.
The website needed to:
Clearly communicate the purpose and mission behind Kitback
Make it simple for users to search and browse available shirts
Provide a smooth and intuitive purchasing journey
Work seamlessly across mobile, tablet and desktop devices
Support future growth as the initiative continues to expand
Working closely with the teams at Street Soccer and Kitback, we developed a digital experience that balances storytelling with functionality.
Our goal was to create a clean, accessible and user-friendly e-commerce experience.
The design focuses on: helping users quickly browse the available football shirts and find what they’re looking for. Each shirt is displayed with clear imagery and product information to help customers make confident purchasing decisions.
With most users browsing on their phones, the site was designed to work smoothly across all devices, while astreamlined checkout process made it easy for customers to complete purchases and support the cause.
The result is a modern e-commerce platform that reflects the energy and purpose behind the Kitback initiative.
Recently, Kitback also introduced a limited edition football shirt created in collaboration with Timorous Beasties, the renowned Glasgow design studio.
The shirt has been an immediate success, flying out since launch and gaining support from a range of well-known fans, including radio presenter Chris Moyles and the iconic Susan Boyle.
The collaboration perfectly brings together football, creativity and community impact.

Street Soccer uses the power of football to create positive change in communities across Scotland and London.
Through football programmes, mentoring and community support, the organisation helps people build confidence, improve wellbeing and access new opportunities.
By supporting Kitback – whether through donating shirts or purchasing from the online store – supporters are directly contributing to this important work.
It’s been a pleasure working with the teams at Street Soccer and Kitback to bring this project to life.
Seeing the website launch alongside such a successful product release has been fantastic, and we’re excited to see how the platform continues to support the growth of the initiative.
