The Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the San Francisco 49ers in a thrilling showdown that had fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle. But it’s not just about the football – Super Bowl commercials are a cultural phenomenon, captivating millions across the globe. With a staggering $7 million price tag for a 30-second spot, brands pull out all the stops to create memorable ads that leave a lasting impression. This year was no different, with several standout campaigns grabbing our attention.

 

Nike – “So Win”

Nike’s ad, “So Win,” marked the brand’s triumphant return to the Super Bowl after 27 years. Voiced by Grammy-winning artist Doechii, the ad celebrated women in sports with powerful montages of elite athletes like Caitlin Clark, Sha’Carri Richardson, Jordan Chiles, and Alexia Putellas. The campaign highlighted the challenges these athletes face and encouraged viewers to rise above doubt and societal expectations. With its inspiring mantra, “You can’t win… so win,” Nike’s ad stood as a bold statement on perseverance and the growing success of women’s sports.

 

Dove – “These Legs: A Dove Big Game Film”

Dove continued its mission to redefine beauty standards with their newest ad for the 2025 Super Bowl. The ad featured a joyful young girl running down the street as text onscreen read, “At 3, these legs are unstoppable. At 14, she’ll think they’re unbearable.” Highlighting that “1 in 2 girls who quit sports are criticised for their body type,” Dove urged viewers to change the way society talks to and about young girls, delivering a heartfelt reminder to keep them confident.

 

Google Pixel – “Good Luck Dad”

Google Pixel’s ad, was a heartwarming journey through parenthood, showcasing the Google Pixel 9’s Gemini Live feature. The story followed a father navigating the joys and challenges of raising his daughter, from her first steps to her college send-off. The ad beautifully highlighted how technology can capture life’s most meaningful moments while subtly positioning Google Pixel as the must-have device for modern families.

 

Novartis – Breast Cancer Awareness

Novartis teamed up with Hailee Steinfeld and cancer survivor Wanda Sykes for a bold Breast Cancer Awareness ad titled “Your Attention, Please.” The 60-second spot showed scenes of cheerleaders, partygoers, and everyday women living their lives, urging viewers to shift their focus toward breast health. With the poignant message, “So much attention, yet so ignored,” the ad aimed to drive action by encouraging women to prioritise mammograms and seek vital information on breast cancer prevention.

 

Häagen-Dazs – “Not So Fast, Not So Furious”

Häagen-Dazs brought a delightful twist to the Super Bowl with “Not So Fast, Not So Furious.” Featuring Dom and Letty from the Fast & Furious franchise, the ad saw the duo taking a rare break from high-speed chases to savour a delicious ice cream bar. The playful tone and clever tie-in with the upcoming Fast & Furious 11 movie, scheduled for a 2026 release, made it a fan favourite.
